This book could be a cute romance set at the end of WW2, but my issue with the premise is everything about it. I am not the biggest critic of war-themed books you could find, by which I mean I would rather die than read one. WW2 books transport me back into my history class in school where it was a struggle to not fall asleep. No matter what spin the author puts on the novel, and how good the writing is, if I see that it is set during any of the World Wars, I will put it down immediately.
