I enjoyed reading "A Ration Book Victory", which is the final story in the Ration Book series. The book is written in the usual Ration Book style, with lots of detail and easy to read. It was nice having a story that focused on the eccentric character Queenie Brogan who is the grandmother of the family. Various stories are woven into the book but I enjoyed the central love story of Queenie and Patrick Mahone the most. I liked how the book hops back in time to their childhood and the current time. It was refreshing to read a story where the love story is still as relevant and intense when they are older adults as when they were teenagers. If you enjoyed previous Ration Book tales you will most likely enjoy this book. I felt that it rounded off the series well and as usual I learnt a few more historical snippets about wartime Britain. Overall a good book.
