I have read nearly all of the books in this series and I am slightly disappointed that this is the last one. I love escaping into the Brogan family and catching up on their lives during the war. Each book gives insights and updates into the characters, so you can always see how they get on which I loved.
This book mainly focused on the matriarch of the family, Queenie Brogan. I absolutely love her character, with her wit and banter, but this book showed her upbringing and a softer side to Queenie that we hadn't seen previously. I loved her character development in this book and my heart really went out to her at the end.
The ending of this book and the series sees the end of the war and you could sense the elation and relief from the characters. The ending was so well written for each person in the Brogan family and I absolutely loved it and would recommend this series to anyone.
