I have read all these books and have enjoyed them all. This book was the perfect ending to the series, it bought all the characters and their stories to a conclusion and gave each person their own ending. Reading these books makes me feel warm, sadness, community, loyalty and love at different chapters in the book. The head of the brogan family was the main view of this story and gave insight in to how love can last over the years despite not being able to be together. It gives insight into how the war affected communities and what they did to keep strong and not let it get them down or break them apart. Each book of this series has shown a different view and aspect of the war period good and bad and I am not sure there could be another series quite like this one, that I would enjoy as much. Thanks to the author for bringing this family to life and making each book good
