What a great ending to what has been a great series of books! All the loose endings of each character sewn up neatly into one package, with the promise of more adventures for each one of them.
I felt so sorry for Queenie, if only she had been honest from the very beginning, but it all worked out for the best in the end. I could have swung for that blasted Nora, what a horrible woman!
The Brogan family have had more than their fair share of ups and downs and somehow, despite the fact that the Germans did their very best in adding to the trauma, they managed to survive and come out of it all stronger. As Jeremiah says, if it wasn’t for the Brogans the neighbours wouldn’t have anything decent to gossip about ha!
I’m not one for a wartime read but I can’t recommend enough these books! Each story leaves you wanting more and I’m so pleased everyone got their happily ever afters!
