I would love to review this book as I was chosen to, unfortunately the postman delivered a damaged package. The envelope was open and there was no book inside. I have contacted Readers first and if I do eventually get a copy I will then change my review to what will be my honest opinion of the book. Unfortunately without reading the book I can not comment much more than I did when I wrote my first preview as follows; I have not read this author before, but this book pulled mw in immediately. I felt as if I was a family member and the family stories were being told just for me. The back and forth between the past and when the story is set, against the background of the final year of World War II, works as it kept me anticipating what had happened in the past dir the current time line to be as it currently is …… enjoyable reading of the first section of this book
