Having read all of the ration book series and enjoying them, I couldn't wait to read this and it did not disappoint.
I absolutely love this genre of book and I was instantly transported into the war saga from the authors fantastic writing and scene setting skills, it was so lovely to catch up with the Brogan family. I love everything about this book series from its heartwarming cover to the story telling to feeling like I know all the characters. If I saw this book on a shelf I would definitely be drawn to picking it up and reading the blurb.
I feel if you pick this book up first without reading the others that came before in this series, you will still enjoy but you will find it hard to connect with the characters as the series follows all of their stories as life progresses, I could definitely go back to the beginning and re-read this whole series and enjoy it again.
