This book was quite a different approach into historical fiction, it described what the past entails very well as well as keeping a solid plot line. However, I didn’t like the book as much as I thought I would. You see, I am a huge fan of historical fiction but this book was not my cup of tea at all. I genuinely think that the idea was quite good however the execution could have been better and it could’ve gotten much more of a buzz about the idea because the idea behind the story was great however there was just a bit too much beating around the bush and that could have easily been avoided. I was so excited for this book that even though I didn’t win it, I went out of my way to buy it but it was just a disappointment. I have had good experiences in the past with books in Victorian or war area or just in general the past but this book was not one of them. Hope to have a good shot next time!
