I had not previously read any of the other Ration book series so I was a little worried there would be parts I wouldn't understand but this book can easily be read as a standalone.
It's such a feel good and heartwarming read. Set in the wartime it shows the hardships that people faced and their immense strength and bravery and also the importance of love.
The book was so well written and the story flowed really nicely. Fullerton really brought her characters to life aswell, I felt attached to them all and only wanted the best for some and felt as if I was part of the Brogan family myself.
This isn't usually a genre I'd choose myself but I surprisingly really enjoyed it and I'd definitely reccomend this book to others.
