A Ration Book Wedding is the fourth book in Jean Fullerton's series on the Brogan family and their lives in London during World War II. Another great book to add to the collection, we see the growth of the characters we were introduced to and watched develop in the previous three volumes. Each book concentrates on one of the Brogans more than the others, and there is some excellent continuity from the author who really knows her characters, making them living, breathing and flawed individuals whom we feel we may have known and lived next door to in the 1940s. These books are about the scary nature of the East End during the war, but they are also heart-warming stories of family, love, loss and the British moto of 'Keep Calm and Carry On'. Great!
