This is the first book I have read by this author but now knowing she has many more books in the ration book series I am eager to read more. Reading up on other reviews of the other books in the series it seems they follow a member of the Brogan family in each novel so by book four you really get to know the family and its a brilliant slice of life reading.
This was an adoring feel-good book and I loved how we got to know some of the characters more in depth.
I felt despairing for some of the characters and how things would have been so different for them in this day and age. I genuinely adore reading books around this era and tales of survival throughout the constant air raids there was such a sense of community.
I highly recommend this for others who love historical romances.
