I am a massive fan of this series, I find them particularly engaging and interesting. I’ve loved all the others and wanted so much for this one to be as brilliant, I read it in a single day and am now so sad that I’ve finished it too quickly. I think this could possibly be my favourite out of all of them although I did really love A ration book Christmas.
The characters spring to life in your mind, I think mainly due to the descriptiveness and the writing style, the plot draws you in and makes you feel like you’re living amongst it. You find yourself unable to put the book down.
I cannot get enough of these books, would happily devour one a week if I could.
