I have read the childhood and Christmas books in the ration book series and I enjoyed those which drew me to want to read this one The ration book Wedding. I liked how the book was based on the different characters in the book but still mentioned the previous characters from the other two books so as you had read them before you already felt like you knew the characters and could relate back to them which is why it’s a good idea to read the previous books. I liked the storyline based around Francesca and Charlie and his failing marriage to Stella. I didn’t warm to Stella at all but felt the character was probably quite realistic of some women of that time who went out of their way to earn what they thought was a living. I liked the ending but happened all a bit too quickly rather than spreading it over a couple of chapters near the end. I would love a further brogan book in this series to catch up with these characters and maybe base the book on some of the other characters in the book.
