Firstly before I start my review I wanted to say that I had no idea this book was part of a series. I was a bit worried that I needed to have read the other Ration book stories but found that this didn't take away from the story on its own.

The story follows Francesca a young woman in her twenties during the days of The Blitz, who whilst doing her bit for the war effort is torn between loving two men. Charlie, whom has recently married and Leo a handsome Count who helps to distract her from the feelings she has for Charlie. But when Charlies marriage ends who will Francesca choose?

Well written, true to the era and easy to read, with plenty of drama! I really enjoyed The Ration Book Wedding, Jean Fullerton really set the scene with her descriptions of life during ww2. If you like stories set in this era, I would recommend.
