Just finished this book and will definitely buy the others in the set. Love the era and the characters and how they cope in that time with everything that’s going on they still look for love and have ambition for the future. The main character Francesca is a lovely character and you get the feel of what’s gone on in her life and how she’s had to cope. Her love for Charlie is there through the book and the sequence it takes leaves you wondering ‘if’. A really cosy read. she builds her life with her new job you see her confidence grow as she treads new ground and walks into a very different world she’s been used to. The characters around her evolve as well showing a good flow of the story. A good read.
