I loved this book, its a typical book about the war, the blitz and what they had to endure, rationing etc. The plot was good and I could visualise the characters when I was reading it. Happy times and sad times, also it makes you think more about what the people went through. With books like this I always try and put myself into the story, I loved all the characters and thought the story was well written. I really got into this book so much, I didnt want it to end but of course like all good books it did. A book for all ages old and young, it really gives an insight into the 1940's era in war times. I will be looking at more books by this author as Ive not read any of hers, as this is my type of genre.
