The book itself is a great read, however I feel like I've just watched the end of the film. I should have read the first books in the seris first before reading this book. It would have been nice to have already been familiar with the characters in this book. As A Ration Book Wedding picks up some of the storylines from the previous book I felt a bit lost in places and felt like I was missing parts of the story.
However, Brilliant heart warming story of WW2 in London. The characters are well written and have good structure, they have you rooting for some of them and wishing the worse on others - it didn’t disappoint as a holiday read. It had good pace to read and I found that I read it quickly enough to see what would happen and if there would be a happy ending. More than one couple has a happy ending which made me smile.
