I was pleasantly surprised by this book.
I would not normally go for a book like this, it is not a genre that I would consider to be my type.
However, this story was actually quite good! I enjoyed the authors writing style and felt that it showed the period well. I felt like I was there by the style of the writing.
The characters of the story are well developed and allow for the reader to understand their back story and see their view point.
It showed the struggles of the time and what it must have been like to be around at this time.
The book showed to me that it is always good to try new books and give something else a go. I’ll consider giving this another go again soon to see what else I can learn!
