This is the first book that I've read from this author and it was ok
This isn't normally the sort of book that I would pick up, but it made you think about the war and what happened to the people. I did like the cover picture.
I did like some of the characters Francesca was the nicest character and I thought Charlie first wife Stella was awful.
I do feel that the author researched this book and era extremely well.
The scenes where Charlie was on the front line did make you believe that it was real.
I'm not sure if I'd read anymore of this genre and my mum has already eyed the book up so I expect it will go there next. Thank you very much to reader's first who gave me the opportunity to read this book.
