I had a very strong feeling that I was going to like this book from the moment that I read the first impression extract. Also, the cover is lovely to look at, which helps. But the important judgement obviously comes from reading the book as a whole.

It took me a little while to connect with the characters, especially Esther, but I did eventually warm to them after a few chapters. I liked reading about Jonah the most. I just really felt for him and connected with him more than I did with Esther. I also like the way they came together and how they brought each other out of themselves and helped each other in ways they probably didn't realise.

The storytelling is done beautifully. Krystal Sutherland told this story very well. The writing is raw and emotional, and the relationship is stunningly unique. The plot flowed well and I found myself becoming rather attached to Esther and Jonah.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and I would definitely recommend it. I'd also like to read 'Our Chemical Hearts' now as I haven't read it yet.
