This was honestly a little bit too weird for me to appreciate. I don’t do well with non-conventional plots it seems, so this one missed the mark. But that being said, it’s really well written. I truly do love this authors writing style and the way she crafts her characters is fabulous. I think this dealt with some deep topics in a relatively positive way, but I think the weirdness of the novel took away from that positive a little bit. But it was good, and I’d recommend it... particularly if you can stand a few strange vibes!
The writing was good, the characters had a lot of promise but the plot was just too much of a colossal question mark. Maybe, perhaps, if I came back and reread it later I’d appreciate it more. I think it’s one of those that needs to be read a couple of times to be understood. So, it definitely is promising that it’s something I’d be excited to reread and give another go because honestly the writing is a huge winner for me.
