Really Sweet
This book is cute, undeniably sweet and incredibly touching! I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Krystal Sutherland creates a charming YA contemporary novel filled with flawed yet loveable characters and a fun plot. Despite the fun-sounding blurb and title, Krystal Sutherland doesn't skimp on emotional depth and allows this novel to become well-rounded, urging the reader to think further than the scenes written on the pages and presenting something meaningful.
I did love the characterisation in this book - Ester is an absolutely amazing lead, and I loved her twin brother Eugene! The rest of her family is quirky, with each member wholly individual through their characterisation. This includes Jonah, who I thought was introduced memorably and I came to really like.
All in all, a great novel that was quick and fun to read.
