I quite liked this book in that I would like to adopt more sustainable practices particularly in seasons of mass consumption such as Christmas. I hadn't been quite sure whether this was going to be a tongue in cheek book or a bit more serious. It is a bit of a half way house sort of book. There are lots of good points and suggestions about how to make better environmental choices during the Christmas season but in some ways the book then becomes one of those slightly wasteful gifts. The cover is nice and would stand out on the shelf as It is quite eye-catching. I did enjoy reading this but do wonder about its impact as I imagine those who want to be sustainable are doing so without the book and those who are resistant will probably not even open the cover let alone take any of the suggestions.
