I read this in one sitting, but it's easy to pick up and flick through. It's a relatively easy read and it will have you laughing if you are of a younger generation. It will be educational for older generations, however they may not agree with it. Being in the target audience, I found it funny and thought-provoking. Love the suggestions on dealing with Christmas cards! Initially I thought the book was cheap looking because the images were printed in black and white ink, however my guess is it is more eco-friendly than colour. I may be wrong! It made me smile that the book has other suggestions of what to do with the book once finished with it, including recycling it!

I will most certainly be looking out for Dave Skinner's other books, especially since I've not heard of him before! This is the ideal Christmas present for someone who hates Christmas, though I may be going against the books philosophy and getting someone something they don't want/need. So it may just be for the mandatory Secret Santa everyone has to do otherwise they look like a Scrooge! Would make a great Secret Santa for someone is hard to buy for because they have strong opinions on the world or who is 'woke' (Google it if you don't know what 'woke' is); I however am unsure about passing on my copy not only because I liked it and will refer to it next year, but because it will age rapidly. It's the only criticism for this book! The references to Brexit, Greta T, Zayn Malik and Trump will set this book squarely in the late noughties and I doubt this book will be as funny in 10 years time, perhaps one to reminisce though. Will everyone still be loving avocado in 10 years time? No idea, time will tell. But for the time being, if you need a light hearted read amongst your stressful Christmas plans, give this book a read.
