Adore this book! It's like a mini encyclopedia for the festive season! The cover of the book is modern and slick. I would love the book to be bigger, as in more pages, but I think all the relevant chapters concerning Christmas are covered! It's handy size is great for popping in a bag on your travels - maybe to swot up in the months running up to the big day!
What I really like is the language and abundance of words used that Dave (any relation to Frank?) uses. He has a really good grasp of the English language and this can be seen throughout the book. It's a coffee table book, easy to pick the chapters you want to read, or all of them, of course, plus the vocabulary is succinct and to the point in many cases. Dave manages to put on paper what many of us think of Christmas, and its' sometimes, complexities, but of course, at the end of the day, it's a fun read.
