I’ve been a little mean with my rating as the book does what it says on the cover, but it is a bit too predictable for my personal taste.

It is firstly a humorous look at all the silly rituals that we put ourselves through every Christmas with particular reference to how most of these will insult a Snowflake’s sensitivities, (The definition of what constitutes a ‘Snowflake’ is dealt with early on in the book). It is fairly unsurprising in the items it covers, but then again, Christmas tends to be pretty foreseeable in its events and I have to admit there were some sections which did make me chuckle.

There is also a slightly more serious side with the ridiculousness of some of the Christmas rituals being gently shown as not the most progressive for our modern world and offering some suggestions of how to improve on these outdated practices. Some of these, I hope, were tongue in cheek.

A fun stocking filler or secret Santa gift. It may insult one of two people but I think most would have a laugh or two.
