I really liked the look of this book. It's a cute little size and the cover design with the avocado is nice to look at. I do enjoy my family Christmas and do genuinely want ideas on how to cut down on waste at Christmas. I guess I thought that's what the book was going to be about, especially when I got to the Christmas aloe vera bit - loved that idea! However, this seems to be a book that just whinges about all things christmas but doesn't actually seem to come up with any real solutions. I feel that this kind of snowflake turning up to Christmas dinner wouldn't reclaim the term snowflake but would alienate and criticise everyone else without offering any sort of compromise. The book seems to prove that actually snowflakes are pretty pretentious and annoying. Saying that there were some really funny bits in it but overall I just didn't like the tone of the book. I don't think we can change the world by telling everyone else what to do and not actually doing anything practical yourself.
