This book concentrates on modern, global issues, presenting them in a way that is humorous and easy to understand. It is full of Christmassy jokes from the very beginning, as well as including plenty of factual and historical information that I found very interesting. I enjoyed how it was packed with drawings and photographs (however these are black and white), and also how it contained the occasional ‘call-out corner’ too.
I especially liked the chapter/section about ‘The Problem With Christmas Music’ as I thought it was clever how traditional Christmas songs were manipulated to comment on global issues, such as climate change and sustainability.
The cover is beautifully foiled, and would look lovely on anyone’s shelf.
Overall, this book is great for all the family and the perfect gift to get someone in the Christmassy mood!
