I have just finished reading this book and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The book is filled with twists and turns, one minute I thought that I knew what was going to happen and the next I had no idea. It is a very clever book written with Caroline and Aiden at the heart of the story, Caroline's marriage is breaking down, she keeps seeing a stranger staring up at her house and her Daughter has a distant relationship with her. When things seem that they can't possibly get much worse for Caroline, she meets a much younger man, a barman at the local pub, they have a one night stand - or that is what Caroline thinks it is anyway! Aiden becomes completely obsessed with Caroline and believes that he is protecting her, Caroline is afraid that Aiden is going to harm her or her family, she doesn't know who to tell, if she tells her family, the affair is made public and any hopes of reconciling with her Husband will be over, if she goes to the police she is up against closed ranks as Aidan's brother is the chief of police. A fast paced, must read for anyone who enjoys a good thriller.
