I dont tend to read this genre typically so don't offer a critical review as a typical reader. I really enjoyed this story line, it was fast paced and gritty. I liked the writing style of the dual narrative.

It starts from Carolines point of view, her husband is cheating of her, she mets a handsome younger man who has a shady past and appears overinterested in her new beach home.

The chapters begin to alternate between his and her versions of events and it quickly becomes apparent they have very different views on the same events. Which one is the unreliable narrator? I liked how you are fed information which makes you believe one then all of a sudden there are complete inconsistencies about the other which makes you question what you think you know about them.

There is a big twist, I figured it out late enough it was still an enjoyable read and I wanted to read on and see if my theory was correct.

Good fun and an easy bedtime/holiday read.
