Caroline finally has the house of her dreams. A spectacular beach house with all mod cons, fitting for those of great wealth.

She seems to have the perfect life - a daughter she loves dearly who has recently left home to go to college and a husband who she regards as her ideal man and the love of her life and they live the life of the rich and privileged.

Taking a walk along the beach in front of her house, she comes across a good looking young man and they exchange a brief conversation.

Just when her life can't seem to be any more perfect, it starts to fall apart and she suspects her husband Jason is cheating, which is confirmed when they hold a big party at their house and he arrives late, with another woman and then leaves early.

A devastated Caroline seeks comfort and revenge and seeks out the handsome stranger she met on the beach who she knows works in a local bar.

This is an easy read and you immediately get immersed in the story and I read it in one sitting as I couldn't wait to find out how everything unfolded.

I did have a few theories about the storyline, which proved to be correct as I got to the end of the book, but being right, didn't spoil the read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
