So disappointing. This book is well written but the cover and recommendations on it do not reflect how I found the book.
The plot seems reasonably well crafted with a couple of surprises to intrigue you at the end. But the build up of tension simply failed. I had to force myself to continue reading after the first hundred pages still looking for the “Suspenseful Thriller!”.
The characters are not believable and quite shallow. Their actions should make a good storyline but something is missing. Caroline the storyteller is not at all likeable and I found it difficult to be concerned about what is happening to her.
I am a great fan of novels of this genre but cannot recommend this book. Perhaps this is one to miss?
