There was something about this book that didn't work for me, as usual don't let that put you off reading it, you might love it. So, it's a thriller and perhaps would work best read on a summer night by the beach, for ambience.
The story is told by more than one perspective, however you need to follow the clues, as both are unreliable narrators.
The story is set in The Hamptons and New York City and the main characters are opposites, one being the spouse of a wealthy business owner and the other a bartender with a past.
These two people get together one night, when Caroline (the wealthy wife) is feeling neglected, thinks her husband is sleeping around and has been drinking. So, one thing leads to another and she spends the night with the bartender, Aidan.
And you're off... it's a guessing game to who Aidan really is and what's in his past and Caroline's desperation to deal with her ever worrying situation.

It was okay, but I didn't find a character I overly cared about so this alienated me from the story.
Give it a go, if this type of thriller is your thing. Happy reading!
