First Impressions: I was gripped instantly, and was lucky enough to receive a copy - thank you!

Aidan and Caroline have a one night stand, after she finds out her husband cheated on her. When Caroline makes it clear it is a one time thing, Aidan becomes obsessed and stalks Caroline. The reader is then drawn into a uncomfortable story of a woman whose life is turned upside down.

None of the characters are likeable, but I still sided with Caroline because her situation could happen to anyone.

The story is told from Caroline's perspective initially, but then changes to other characters, so I believe everyone (but at the same time doubt everything). They are all convincing, but the characters all seem so selfish. Upon finishing the book, I realised there are small clues littered throughout the book which indicate the truth - I didn't realise at the time.

There is an interesting insight into the law, but I believe this is purely fiction. I also found the stalker's perspective thought provoking - misunderstandings are so easy. The descriptions are good. I read the dark stormy scene during a storm, which added to the intense and creepy atmosphere - I couldn't sleep so I strongly recommend as a holiday sun lounger read. Full of suspense, this book kept me captivated throughout. It made me question everything!

This will be a best seller in 2020!
