I won a copy of David Jackson's third Nathan Cody novel on Readers First, and I enjoyed it so much that I bought the other two books in the series. I have now read the first of these, A Tapping at My Door, and I thoroughly enjoyed it too.

This is another cracking, page-turner of a book. I loved reading Nathan Cody's story from the beginning, and the Liverpool setting is beautifully described. As with "Don't Make A Sound," there is great tension throughout the book, but it's interspersed with such humour and camaraderie between the police officers that it is a pleasure to read. There are some very descriptive, toe-curling parts to the book too, which had me wincing and gritting my teeth with sympathy, and also some parts which seemed a little far-fetched. But that didn't matter at all to me - this is another brilliant, well-written book by David Jackson and I look forward to reading more.
