The prologue of this book sets the scene perfectly. I've read The Windsor Knot which is the first book in the series and also enjoyed that. Certainly the first few chapters have whetted my appetite to find out more about the missing painting and characters in the story. I also want to know who the dead person is in the swimming pool area, so yes, I am hooked into the story.
These books are fiction but there are members of the Royal Family and their staff in the story. I am not sure that The Queen would have remembered all of the paintings she owned in detail, although I am sure she would have been vexed by the disappearance of one.
Rosie, her secretary and The Queen attempt to find out how the missing painting appeared in Portsmouth. There will be twists and turns in the story and I am sure that they will uncover the truth behind the mystery. Perhaps the dogs will help?!
