A fun read
I've read both of Bennet's Queen series and enjoy them although of course they are completely unrealistic but that is part of their charm.
I love the idea of the Queen acting like a bit of a Miss Marple and solving the various murders at the palace. She has a great team around her, particularly Rozie, who are also trying to work out who the killers were ahead of the police. And in this book there are three deaths and a series of poison pen letters so they have a lot of work on their plate.
I like the characterisation of the Queen and Phillip and the relationship they have together, which adds some personalisation to these figureheads and to a certain degree shows them as a real family, with cute references to the grandchildren.
For a fun murder mystery with amusing, well-known (but unknown) characters and some interesting twists and turns then you can't go far wrong with this book.
