A Three Dog Problem is the second book in the "Her Majesty the Queen Investigates" series and I enjoyed this one even more than the first. It has a fun and quirky premise that is brilliantly written, the way the Queen surreptitiously gets involved and orchestrates the investigation into a murder at Buckingham Palace is really clever and very entertaining. Several favourite characters return from the first novel and I especially loved all the behind the scenes detail and gossip about how the royal households are managed. The plot has drama, intrigue and humour and deftly weaves together real people and actual events with fictional incidents of murder, theft and art forgery. It's witty and charming and will appeal to anyone who loves a well crafted whodunnit with likeable characters and a fabulous setting. Highly recommended.
