This is am amazing first impression, the reader is instantly transported to a fantasy world where nobility can transform into birds. I think this concept is extremely original and I am excited to see where the books goes. There is also plenty of mythical and political intrigue within the kingdom, and I am very happy to see that the protagonist is a strong and not a 'damsel in distress' female! This first impression is leaving me hungry for more!
