Curious read, people who flash the cash because they can shift into swan form? Sound queer? Yes it is, but the writing is engaging and set at a level that evokes mystery without leaving you dumbfounded with too much obscure text and fantasy culture.

Ive read many fantasy books and this is one I'm not going to read. Its set to appeal to game of throne fans in the style of the politics, the upper classes who are magic and transform into swans... or egrets or fuzzy ducks.

There is a dragon, the description of its appearance did not emerge me within a sensory experience, too descriptive, dragons of all things should bring emotion, they should be killed sparingly but with an eloquence which i feel this dragon death was missing.

When the Raven transformed into a man i was very disappointed that he was not naked, or even better, that he carried in his little Raven talons a small pouch cloth to cover his modesty, this part was shockingly ignored as if irrelevant, illusion of belief in this tale faded as I questioned their behaviour. If i was a teenage woman and a Naked male of similar age appeared infront of me i would be embarrassed or have some feeling on the matter, perhaps throw him a glove and tell him to put his penis away.

The characters were unique and brought forward their individual personalities, this part was done well. Overall the writing is better than Throne Games but I'm not sure if the story is yet, this story needs to mature to hook me, but younger readers might get on fine with this.
