After reading the synopsis I thought the concept is interesting, and I still believe so after the first chapter I read. But I did struggle a little with the pace of it. The first 15 pages felt very rushed. I those pages we get around 6 something weeks passing by including the death of our main character death and a lot of information about the word and the family of Aderyn. Speaking of which she mentions that she is grieving but we don't really see that I would have like to see a little more emotions. After those first 15 pages the pace slows down and we get to take a breath and digest all the information that we got.
I do also have the feeling that the story is going to be a little bit more romance heavy that I would personally like it, but I could be wrong.
After those 25 pages, I have mixed feelings but, I'm still interested to see where the story will go and if my predictions are right.
