Throne of Swans seems to be a well paced story set in a magnificently detailed and completely original world. The utterly unique take on animal shifters is intriguing and certainly adds to Throne of Swans overall appeal.
The characters within the story show great potential with the main character, Aderyn, being completely put together and reckless at the same time. I personally am very interested to see how her visit to the King and later journeys in life go despite her disadvantages made obvious to readers from the very start of the book. However it is these exact disadvantages that make Aderyn's character worthy if further intrigue. Her inner battle between what is expected of her and what she actually does makes A Throne of Swans far from predictable and definitely a worthy read!
