The cover of the book was enchanting, the throne gave a beautifully mysterious and almost sinister vibe. Which contrasts to the elegance of the falling swan feathers surrounding it. The juxtaposition of the two features, leaves you with more intrigued to learn more of the story.
The writing style was beautiful and had a lovely flow. The surroundings of the book and the environment where the story is set was described very well, so it was easy to construct an image in your head of the characters and the scenery.
The story model is unique, I don’t think I have heard of many story’s like it, where people turn into birds, and this ability being what determines there status. A mystery is set up very early, so you are straight into the action.
