This a charming retelling of Swan Lake mixed with the backstabbing and intrigue of The Tudors. I devoured this book in a single sitting as I simply could not wait to find out what was going to happen. A great blend of romance, suspense and fantasy.
The characters were well developed and I fell in love with them all. The book didn't feel cliche and it felt like a different take on fantasy. I want to be Aderyn and I cannot wait to see her story play out in the sequel.
If you like Sarah J Mass then this is the book for you! I think this book will appeal to those of all ages as it takes you in and grips you until the end.
