I loved this book. I loved the character of Aderyn and how she developed through the story. Starting off as someone who just wanted revenge but evolving into someone stronger and willing to do what she needed to protect her dominion.
I enjoy a good story with royal deceit and betrayal and this did not disappoint. There were a lot of deceitful revelations and surprises, while I did see some coming, others I was genuinely surprised at.
I'm looking forward to book 2.
