Think Game of Thrones meets the twisted fairy tale land of the Brothers Grimm and add some completely unexpected turns and that is the book I previewed. When Aderyn's father passes she becomes protector of Atratys, in this kingdom the nobles have the ability to turn into the bird that represents their family's bloodline. Flung into this world without her father she is put through numerous tests. Although the plot line was detailed and full of excitement I struggled to get through it. The intricacies of the story was hard to keep up with and i found my mind beginning to wander. However the story is completely unique and intriguing and I would love to learn what happens to all the characters in the story.
