this book follows aderyn, the new grace of her dominion following her fathers death. from what i have read so far, i’ve found out that she has been kept indoors for her whole life, but now has the opportunity to go to court and experience herself a different style of life, whilst making sure to keep her secret. (you need to read it to find out what it is!)
i’m a harsh reviewer, so three stars is a great start in my opinion. this starts off nicely- fast paced and to the point- and i can tell that the world building will be good (we have already been introduced to some mysteries which i’m excited to uncover).
that being said, i felt the writing style was a little simple, but i am someone who prefers more in depth, descriptive books so that’s a personal opinion. but of course the simpler writing style makes it easier to understand what is being said, and is brilliant for readers overall!
