I've just read the first look, 30 pages roughly, and I'm hooked. I even tried to scroll on to the next chapter before realising I'd reached the end of the sneak peek.
The writing is very fluid and organic in the way the story is unfolding and already I'm invested in our leading ladies plight.
I love the concept of the shape shifting birds and hope when I get to read the whole book we learn more about how the society works.
There is enough danger hinted at to keep you interested too and some really likeable characters already.
The way the author describes the scenery is perfect, enough detail to make me picture it but not enough that it becomes tedious.
All in all I'm very excited to see where this story goes and am ordering my copy right now.
