I adore fantasy and this is the best I have read in a while
I absolutely loved this but I knew I would as its pure fantasy.
Aderyn's father has died leaving her at the mercy of her uncle and his court when she is set to inherit the kingdom.
The court has many factions and her uncle wants rid of her, in their world everyone can transform into birds and when Aderyn lost the ability to morph into a swan after seeing her mother murdered she is useless.
But Aderyn is determined the land will not be pulled into war and she is desperate to find out the truth of her mother's death.
Can she fight in a world where women are mere pawns and the men fight one another with plots and counterplots to gain the throne?
This was so exciting as it had all the elements of a fantasy blended within the story of Swan lake and he magic narration of a fairytale.
Was a superb story and I am desperate to read the next in the series, what a start to a new saga.
Best novel of this genre I have read in a while.
