This book had been sitting on my shelf for a while before I finally decided to read it but when I finally picked it up I was glad I did. It is set in a world where the nobles have the ability to transform into birds. It follows a girl called Aderyn, who has been unable to transform since the death of her mother, as she navigates the perilous court to try discover what really happened that night and tries to find out who caused her mothers death.
I found that as the plot developed it became harder and harder to put the book down and I loved how nothing was as it seamed. I would highly recommend for fans of the "The Folk of Air" series as the writing style and themes are quite similar. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and await the sequel with anticipation
